sleep!

Connor finally slept thru the night last night! Man that's been a long time coming. I guess the previous two nights he did too...but we had the monitor off, so we really have no idea what kind of night he had. Bad parents, I know. But last night, green light all night long! I guess I should say one green light all night long...the lights on the monitor are technically still green when he cries...

5 months!

It is so hard to believe that Connor is 5 months old today. 5 months! He is growing so fast :( I unfortunately don't have any new photos today, but he's going to my mom's all weekend and I have a pretty good feeling she'll take some good photos, and I'll be sure to send LOTS of outfits along for the random photo shoots. Ha. Poor kid. He is definitely all boy. Again there was activity in the back yard after work today, Bryan and another guy were working on re-constructing the smaller retaining wall (had to move it) and he could have sat out there for hours I think watching them work. It was cute.

Bryan thankfully took Connor to a church ice cream social tonight so I could work on a wedding card box for a friend and get things half ready for scrapfest this weekend. I have all of my scrapbook stuff packed, just basically need to pack clothes and stuff like that now. I'll just throw that all in a bag tomorrow night probably.

Just heard from Bryan, he won't be home for another 45 minutes or so...might as well get to that packing tonight...of course after I finish pumping. Which, I'm proud to say I think I'm officially down to only 4 times a day and still way over producing. Can't wait for it to be over with. (should be able to quit sometime mid December and then have enough to make it til he's a year and can start regular milk...3 more months...I think I can do it)

Fun on the Patio

The guys were here again working on the back patio, pouring the exposed that borders it all. Connor was just in awe of all the action so I brought him down there for a little fun. He's currently outside sitting in his little bouncy chair (because I deprive him apparently from the little baby chair things) watching the guys work (Bryan is out there, it's not a bunch of strange men). Needless to say, I think he has been in need of some 'man' time. Enough of this scrapbooking, art fairs, shopping, etc.

I think I might have blown on his chubby cheeks one too many times, even when I go in for a little kiss now, he ducks his head and scrunches his face. I love it. Ha.

Then as I was just done with this post...Bryan is at the door with a big stinky diaper. And when I say stinky, I mean we're officially eating rice and we tried squash last night stinky.

Connor and I stopped over to see Ang and Kate the other afternoon. Ended up that Ang was sleeping, which she needed, so we (Em was there, well, Jay too) got Kate all to ourselves :)

Twins Game!

Yesterday, Bryan and I went to the Twins game with Anne and Jeremy. We had a GREAT time...maybe a little too good of a time...but it was fun to say the least. Have I mentioned that my amazing friend Anne has officially moved to Mankato? For good? I absolutely love having her in town, and now that we're both all settled (at least for now, Anne has one more move in her future at least, oncer her and Jeremy get a place) it'll be great. We're seriously considering bringing back the 'ol 'nature run' from Scotland. Except, a) we're not in Scotland, b) I'm in NO shape, c) um, no C. And both are no excuse, so we will find a trail sometime in the near future. We're excited. So, a few pics from the game.

Ready for Grass

Bryan spent most of the day filling in everywhere that needed black dirt, grading out the side of the house by the pond, moving a retaining wall in the back yard (the smaller one), etc. He has done such an awesome just on the yard, we can't wait til it's a 'lawn'! Maybe next year :) (we're hoping to have it seeded within the next few weeks, but probably still won't have much of a lawn this year)

the move

I actually don't have any pictures of the move, but, it went pretty well, no major issues or anything. Bryan had his annual golf outing this past weekend with the boys at Breezy Point. However...he did get ALMOST everything loaded up into two trailers and down at the house. Then, my boss, Travis and Jay came over Friday night and unloaded EVERYTHING for us. It was SUCH a big help. Then Ang, me, mom and Mel (Trav's wife) helped me unpack and organize. And Saturday my friend Anne came over to help. What great friends we have!! Then Sunday, when Bryan got back, we loaded up one more load from the rental and got it to the house, unloaded and put away. We are basically all done, just have a few boxes left in the garage to sort and figure out what to do with. Connor's room is a disaster as well, so no pictures of that yet :) So, a BIG thanks to everyone who contributed! Bryan, his friends, my friends, everyone! Thank you! (hopefully we don't have to do it again for AT LEAST 30 years)

Ok, so no, we don't give commands to Connor, but he's sitting pretty well! Kind of looks like an ape and has no control if he starts leaning any direction, but, we're working on it! And, I was feeling bad that I didn't have one of those ckair things for him, but sounds like his thighs might not fit anyways!

Welcome, Kate Emma!

Kate Emma Nessler was born yesterday at 12:41. I did go see her yesterday aftenoon, but forgot my camera! I know. Bryan, Connor and I are going tonight so I will for sure have pictures to post later. But for now, you can check out her blog.

WAY past due...

wow, it's been a long time. I officially got internet (aka...return to the civilized world) yesterday. However, I will admit, even it I had had it sooner, I'm not so sure I would have been that much better of a blogger. So, today, you're going to get a WHOLE bunch of posts so I can get up-to-date. Here's a little sneak peek:

1. ANGIE HAD HER BABY!!! (yes, I am 'yelling'...excited yelling of course)
2. My friend Krista had her baby too!!!
3. WE ARE MOVED IN!!! (again, excited)
4. WE HAVE INTERNET. Ha. Ok, done with the yelling.
5. Did I mention Angie had her baby?
6. Connor is really digging cereal.
7. Connor is beyond the sickness and just now finally getting back into a good sleeping routine...almost.
8. We're moved in...but not fully settled.
9. Scrapfest is coming up! WhOO HOO!
10. I think I'm out for right now, and certainly don't have pictures for all of the above, but just know that I now have no excuse to be a better blogger again.
